Job Title : Production Operator – Secondary Department
Location : Durham, CT
Pay Rate : $17.50 – $20.00 / hour
Job Type : Full-Time, Second Shift (4 : 45?p.m. – 1 : 45?a.m.)
Summary :
We are hiring a Production Operator to safely and efficiently run equipment and machinery in the Secondary Department. This is a hands-on role working with a variety of machines in a manufacturing environment. No prior experience is required—just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate machinery such as presses, milling machines, laser welders / cutters, spot welders, printers, and tweaking tools
Perform visual and measurement inspections according to guidelines
Accurately complete all required documentation (inspection tickets, job travelers, etc.)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in line with 6S standards
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
Support continuous improvement efforts and assist in other departments as needed
Qualifications :
High school diploma, GED, or technical school equivalent
Ability to read and follow simple written instructions
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Physical Requirements :
Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach
Occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to lift / move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 25 lbs occasionally
Vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment :
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional fumes or airborne particles
Moderate noise level—safety glasses and hearing protection required
Pay Details : $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
