American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) is seeking a Product Designer II to join our Consumer Technology-UXD department.
Design and maintain high quality digital experiences using Design Thinking and Lean UX process and principles. Must be able to work independently.
Salary Range
American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $89,300 to $120,00 Full-Time Annual Salary Range.
Remote Worker Guidelines
- Remote Worker Guidelines : This position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home (WFH) in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network. The internet connection must have a consistent 50 down / 10 up Mbps minimum internet speed. 100 down / 20 up is recommended to support higher quality video meetings.
Responsibilities
Collaborate as part of a team of Product Designers and UX Strategists.Work across teams and stakeholders to identify the design challenge and articulate a design strategy for the solution.
Design and execute user research and usability studies, producing remarkable insights and transformational business recommendations, and presenting them to large, senior-level audiences.Work with the internal stakeholders to understand what drives business and reach a shared vision of how to solve problems while advocating for the end user.Experience with new ideas, tools, and techniques to stay informed of industry trends.Manage multiple problem-solving tasks with little supervision.Apply design thinking principles through deep team collaboration in an agile environment.Lead ideation sessions / design studios, design walkthroughs with development and other stakeholders.Lead UX in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including product ideation and definition, design, user research and usability testing.Present objectives, design approach and creative solutions to stakeholders in an articulate and persuasive manner.Collaborate with developers in a SCRUM environment on a day-to-day basis.Constantly develop yourself as well as your teammates, and contribute to the movement of a design led company.Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS or a related field required. Equivalent practical experience will be considered. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.3 years relevant work experience in the field of UX required.Experience in concept ideation, design strategy, prototyping and crafting over-arching digital UX required.Mastery of UX design and prototyping toolset (Figma, Sketch, Invision, etc.). Bonus for experience in motion design or front-end coding.Fluency in best practices for mobile and web-based UX and responsible design, with a deep and broad knowledge of usability principles and techniques. Experience within an agile development environment.Experience designing compelling, usable, and desirable user experiences and interfaces for a variety of platforms.Emotionally connect with customers and take time to thoroughly understand their motivations and aspirations.Rapidly iterate prototype web and mobile designs in a range of fidelities based on user research, acknowledging technical feasibility.Ability to explain your ideas, designs, and best practices in order to successfully convince, motivate and inspire senior stakeholders.Expertise in designing the behavior and structure of innovative, well-integrated customer -facing user experiences.Demonstrate experience designing and conducting user research and using web analytics data to make informed design decisions.Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.Core Competencies
