• Work night shifts with every other weekend (EOW) schedule
• Option for 4x12 hour shifts
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge responsibilities as needed
• Must work at least 1 of 3 holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day
• Patient ratio of 1 : 6 nurse to patient
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 30-bed unit with regular medical surgical patients
• Skills required : IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care / wound vac, blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA, peripheral and PICC line management, surgical drains
• Alabama nursing license required
• Current BLS via AHA and Fit Test required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Must adhere to call-in policy
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
