Job Summary :

The HR Business Partner provides strategic and operational human resources support to the Commercial organization, including sales, marketing, and customer-facing functions. This role partners closely with business leaders to align human capital strategies with organizational objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure effective execution of HR programs that drive engagement, compliance, retention, and business success within the medical device industry. This role will be in a hybrid work environment with in-office presence for HR events and collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Strategic and Operational Partnership

  • Partner with commercial leadership to understand business objectives, workforce dynamics, and talent needs within the sales and marketing organization.
  • Align HR strategies with business goals to enhance organizational effectiveness and overall team performance.
  • Provide guidance on organizational structure, role alignment, and resource planning to support business growth and scalability.
  • Contribute to the implementation of HR programs that strengthen leadership capability, workforce agility, retention, and employee engagement.

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition role to recruit and select qualified candidates for commercial roles.
  • Ensure effective onboarding processes that integrate new hires into the culture and prepare them for success in a regulated environment.
  • Support retention initiatives that enhance the employee experience and reduce voluntary turnover.
  • Performance Management and Development

  • Facilitate performance management activities including goal setting, feedback delivery, and development planning.
  • Partner with leaders to identify high-potential employees and succession candidates within the commercial organization.
  • Promote employee learning and development aligned with regulatory requirements, leadership capability, and sales effectiveness.
  • Reinforce a performance-based culture through consistent coaching and development support.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to people leaders on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, compliant, and timely resolution of Tier 2 cases.
  • Provide guidance on performance issues, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Support and communicate initiatives that promote employee engagement, inclusion, and a positive team environment.
  • Compensation, Recognition, and Change Management

  • Advise leaders on compensation and promotion decisions in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Support execution of compensation planning, performance calibration, and recognition programs.
  • Assist in the communication and implementation of organizational changes, ensuring proper change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate to deliver consistent and effective HR processes across the commercial segment.
  • HR Collaboration and Liaison Role

  • Act as a liaison between the commercial business unit and broader HR functions to ensure alignment with company priorities.
  • Contribute to organizational HR initiatives by representing the voice and needs of the commercial business segment.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 6–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner or generalist role.
  • Experience supporting commercial, sales, or customer-facing organizations.
  • Medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of HR disciplines including employee relations, talent management, compensation, and performance development.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Excellent judgment, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
