Summary of Job Responsibilities

The internship position within the Corporate Finance and Accounting department of The Standard involves a wide range of duties and activities. The goal of an internship in accounting is to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that is necessary to prepare the student for a successful career in the finance or accounting fields. Activities for the internship position within the Corporate Finance and Accounting department of The Standard include :

• assistance with financial close and reporting
• accounting policy research
• account reconciliations outages
• review and validation of analytical models
• create and update processing task documents to support key positions
• peer company analysis
• process improvement projects
• workplace adaptability while being resilient in recovering from setbacks and difficulties.
• observation and meeting with executive leadership
• other duties as assigned.

During the duration of the internship the candidate will be assigned to one manager to oversee their day-to-day work, however, there may be opportunities to work with several different teams in the division. The work will be conducted in an all-virtual remote environment.

Salary Range : Comp Range $20-$23 (EDU years completed)
