ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a creative, energetic, and sales-savvy R&D Chef to join our culinary innovation team. This role blends culinary artistry with client relationship management — developing new concepts, creating recipes, and delivering presentations that inspire and excite. You’ll take the lead on assigned client accounts, partner with our culinary leadership team, and help drive both innovation and growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Client Management
- Serve as lead chef for assigned accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for new business.
- Provide consultative services and proactively pursue new projects within client agreements.
- Schedule and deliver impactful culinary presentations that align with client goals.
- Prepare regular reporting of activities, forecasts, and plans for leadership.
Culinary R&D
Lead the conceptualization, design, creation, and evaluation of new food concepts / products for targeted markets.Develop on-trend flavor profiles tailored to client demographics and audiences.Test and incorporate new ingredients, methods, and processes into recipes.Create recipes with a focus on flavor, cost efficiency, and nutrition.Stay current on restaurant operations, food manufacturing, distribution, food safety, and profitability considerations.Track and analyze culinary, consumer, and restaurant trends.Maintain affiliations with culinary schools, associations, and industry partners.SKILLLS / QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from a recognized culinary school.3+ years of progressive culinary experience in R&D, sales, or corporate foodservice.Strong recipe development, writing, and public presentation skills.Outgoing, client-focused personality with a sales-driven mindset.Organized, adaptable, and able to thrive with minimal supervision.Solid understanding of restaurant operations, food manufacturing, distribution, food safety, and nutrition
