What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and / or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential incidents. Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services as needed. Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements : At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
