PCU Nursing Job Details Location : Columbus, OH 43210 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1940-$1990 Assignment Length : 13-16 weeks Start Date : January 5, 2026 End Date : April 27, 2026 Shift : 3x12-hour nights (19 : 00 - 07 : 30); day / night shift options available Hours per Week : 36 Healthcare Setting : 36-bed Oncology Telemetry Unit (over 24 beds PCU level) Self-scheduling : Enter your preferred schedule requests Orientation : 1 week dayshift, 1 week on-unit with preceptor Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission) Minimum 1 year of recent high-acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience 2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Two professional references (one from a manager / director or supervisor) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to oncology, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology patients in a progressive care setting Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral IV lines, and perform port access procedures Manage cardiac drips (no titration), PCA pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation Provide tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, and advanced wound care Respond to rapid response / code situations and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and ensure patient safety / fall prevention Float to other PCU or MedSurg Oncology units as needed Experience the energy of Columbus and grow your nursing career with this exceptional travel healthcare job.
