Job description

We are hiring a Senior Staff Engineer to join our organization on a remote basis (CST / EST timezone).

Responsibilities

Lead the design and architecture of scalable, cloud‑native applications.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.

Develop and maintain high‑performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.

Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.

Design and integrate microservices and APIs for seamless system interoperability.

Manage messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ for real‑time data flow.

Apply Test‑Driven Development practices to ensure code quality and reliability.

Build and maintain ETL pipelines for efficient data processing and transformation.

Monitor and optimize application performance using observability tools like DataDog.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range : $80.00 – $100.00 per hour.
