Overview

Title : Creative Director Video | Location : Remote | Duration : 18 Month Contract to Hire | Compensation : $59.45 - 64.57 / HR | Work Requirements : US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

This job is more than just being a visual storyteller. It is understanding product and having a proven ability to breakdown complex stories into clear communication for a technical audience, all while entertaining and elevating the entire Cisco business.

The ideal applicant is a very strong writer, with proven ability to go deep and understand complex products and solutions.

This includes video for marketing, product, demos, social media, thought leadership, and other visual content. Your creative direction will shape how technology is communicated, ensuring our content is not only visually captivating but also aligned with our strategic goals and business vision.

The ideal applicant needs to be able to run a production from cradle to grave, often on short timelines, sometimes doing the work (script, shoot, edit) but most often leading an in-house team consisting of video producers and editors; in rare cases, engaging an agency to do the work.

Responsibilities

• Play a role in developing and leading our video content strategy, ensuring all videos support brand positioning, product launches, and company objectives.
• Oversee the creative process, from ideation to execution, for all video projects including product demos, promotional videos, social media content, and more.
• Work closely with product marketing to develop a cohesive narrative that resonates with target audiences.
• Direct and manage a team of video producers, editors, and other creatives, ensuring high standards of quality, creativity, and on-time delivery.
• Stay ahead of video trends, especially within the tech industry, to incorporate innovative techniques, tools, and technologies into our projects.
• Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and talent as needed to deliver world-class video content.
• Maintain a consistent visual style and product voice across all video content, ensuring alignment with overall branding guidelines.
• Analyze video performance, leveraging data to continually improve content effectiveness and engagement.
• Mentor and inspire the creative team to push boundaries and deliver exceptional work.
