The Field Operations Manager is responsible for the effective execution of core operational duties across all job site locations. - Conduct regular meetings with field personnel to communicate expectations, assess performance, and foster leadership development.
- Plan / Load balancing labor, equipment and material utilizations across job sites.
- Build effective partnership with the engineering / design team to improve planning and execution.
- Promote and oversee implementation of field best practices that improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Provide technical guidance to Superintendent, Site Managers, field labor, and subcontractors.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve operations efficiency and profitability.
- Creation / Development / Maintenance
- Implement and maintain safety initiatives in compliance with company policy and regulatory standards.
- Develop and execute employee training and development plans to support advancement and performance.
- Oversee implementation and effective use of field tools and technologies that improve workflow and reporting.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop workforce plans and forecast resource needs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that support advancement of field operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate daily / weekly reporting from Superintendents and Site Managers.
- Financial Controls
- Monitor material and labor variances in coordination with field supervisors to maximize jobsite profitability.
- Oversee purchasing of materials and rental equipment including negotiating and awarding purchase orders.
- Prepare and manage field operations department budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Success of this position is measured by :
- Safety Performance : Zero incidents and full compliance with safety protocols across all jobsites.
- Quality & Rework : Minimal rework costs and consistent adherence to quality standards.
- Labor Productivity : Actual labor costs vs. targeted benchmarks.
- Budget Adherence : Performance relative to capital and departmental budgets.
- Customer Satisfaction : Minimal to no customer complaints.
- Regulatory Compliance : Zero violations or fines from regulatory agencies.
- To perform this job successfully the employee must have the following :
- Associates of Science degree in Construction Management and / or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of design-build construction experience.
- The ability to operate a computer, common software, and communication devices.
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of plant process improvement knowledge.
- The ability to communicate at a high level, both receiving and disseminating information for clear understanding.
- The ability to understand broad direction and then formulate and execute detailed complex plans to meet that direction.
- The ability to make complex judgments in the interest of the company and employees.
- The ability to demonstrate, and be considered a leader in, company values.

Pay : $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
