This position is Full-Time, 40 hours / week. Third shift : 11 : 30P-8A and every other weekend.

Pay Grade : $17.40-27.84 ( Actual offer rates are based upon the applicants relevant job experience and the requirements of the position)

The Staffing Secretary :

  • Creates schedule rotations for all new hires, finding replacements for any call-ins or absences.
  • Prepares and maintains an accurate schedule for all shifts in the Nursing department.
  • Monitors and keeps track of employee attendance and time-off requests. Notifies the units and managers of call-ins as necessary.
  • Performs all assigned secretarial duties.
  • Provides administrative support for electronic staffing & scheduling system.
  • Serves as liaison to nursing managers / CNO to develop new sources for float pool.
  • Assists in obtaining nursing care staff information needed for daily posting requirements.
  • Makes written or verbal reports and recommendations to nurse management concerning staffing and scheduling issues.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all-inclusive.

A qualified candidate will possess :

  • High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a clerk-typist, secretary, or unit secretary. Staffing / scheduling experience preferred.
