Field Construction Coordinator

The Field Construction Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of contract resources for the safe, timely and efficient construction and maintenance of electric distribution facilities and meter and service activities to meet both ONCOR Electric Delivery timelines, Terms and Conditions and Service Level Agreements. The Field Construction Coordinator acts as a liaison between ONCOR Electric Delivery and various contractor resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels are sufficient to meet construction and maintenance dates and regulatory Terms and Conditions. Resolves issues and answers questions from the field related to construction and maintenance projects, service orders and etc. Fields contacts from customers regarding all types of issues and concerns relating service work.
Key responsibilities include :
- Adhering to company prescribed safety policies
- Promoting a positive image of ONCOR Electric Delivery to the public
- Promoting safety in the workplace for both contract and company employees
- Understanding of contractual arrangements
- Assigning projects to contract crews
- Verifying sufficient construction resources are in place to meet requirements and / or acts to secure required resources thru proper process
- Requesting material kits and interfacing with Material Coordinators to ensure proper materials are available to meet construction requirements
- Updating status of all construction activities in the database on a daily basis to ensure accurate records
- Completing and submitting Contractor Performance Evaluations
- Ensuring safety compliance, adherence to ONCOR Electric Delivery standards of construction, job site restoration and construction records and information are completed by and received from contract resources. Pre-construction, during construction and post construction
- Participating in various types of construction meetings as required
- Addressing construction issues as necessary to ensure timely construction of safe and efficient distribution system
- Ensuring proper construction practices are followed to minimize cost of projects
- Verifying proper permits are obtained for construction activities
- Ensuring all environmental laws and procedures are followed
- Verifying construction practices comply with all prescribed ordinances, company policies, governmental regulations and the Electric Service Guidelines
- Communicating status of projects to interested parties as required
- Proper disposition of "As-Built" information
- Performing routine "On Call" rotation and emergency restoration
- Verifying accounting for invoices including O&M-vs.-Capital and ensuring proper tax status is correctly indicated
- Verifying accuracy of contractor invoices
- Ensuring on time completion for assigned projects
- Coordinating service restoration with DOC as required
- Interacting with different work groups while meeting the customer's deadline and maintaining a positive working relationship
- Performing all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements
