Lab Technician

Description

Performs chemical and instrumental analysis on fuels, oils, and other lubricants using standard testing methods as prescribed by ASTM(testing standards). Performs analyses on any new sample introduced. Prepare solutions or solvents for various tests; transfers samples from one area to another in the lab; maintains workbooks and equipment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as per sop and tip test procedures. There is a fuel / oil smell with these samples.

• Industrial Lab Setting- Research on automotive products Shift - 6am- 3pm, 8-pm, 3- 11pm - Monday - Friday. Occasional weekend work. PPE Provided, No Medical, No Certs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma Candidate muse have one year of college chemistry and math or one year of related laboratory experience. Candidate must be able to lift and transporting 50lbs. familiar with basic lab safety Training is provided- all hands on- shadowing Best vs Average- Recent associate degree in science recent lab exp through school Disqualifier- any BS degree

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50 / hr.
