Logistics Manager

Develop and implement logistics strategies for outsourcing of sewing an upholstery operations.  Control and monitor the correct processing of import / export activities, paperwork filing and inventory balances.  Develop and implement strategies for lot tracking development within the warehouse. Work closely with the manufacture engineers on packaging design include shipping boxes, packaging method to reach the highest density of products for both dealers and customers. Develop strategies to increase cost effective delivery times with carriers.  Advise IT department regarding the usage of carrier Kiosk to outsource vendors.  Evaluate bids of additional transport companies and advice accounts department in order to determine the most effective transit lines.  Continue the implementation of wireless scanners for shipping, receiving and monitoring transactions in real time.  Coordinate and work closely with the engineering team on new product design and development to control inventory, fulfil product development, optimize parts and assembly flow for production and ensure proper warehouse storage. Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations. Manager the expansion of 9to5 Seating Kiosk usage by carriers to increase availability of real time tracking.  Service the sales and customer service departments to ensure customer satisfaction and ease shipping related matters.  Create SOPs for all warehouse functions. Work with carriers to expedite orders, file and manage complaints and monitor and evaluate carrier performance. Develop and implement strategies for robust cycle counts through the usage of wireless scanners.

Position requirements and salary are as follows :

Bachelors degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or closely related field + 0 exp.

OR

Completion of four years of undergraduate studies in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or closely related field+ 3 yrs exp. In Transportation, storage & Distribution Management :

Salary :                         $145,829.00 per year
