Power Labor is hiring a motivated Apprentice Industrial Mason for a long-term opportunity in the Liberty, MO area. This position offers hands-on training and consistent work in the industrial masonry trade—constructing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial structures such as furnaces, kilns, and factories. Apprentice Industrial Masons assist in the construction and maintenance of industrial structures using tile, refractory mortar, and reinforced concrete. Work includes both local work at the Liberty facility and travel to client sites nationwide (approximately 15 days per month). Travel days include a lot of overtime opportunities. Responsibilities Assist with constructing, repairing, and maintaining industrial structures such as furnaces, kilns, and factory foundations Prepare materials and mix refractory mortar and concrete Lay out, set, and align masonry units, block, or tile according to blueprints and specifications Apply mortar and finish surfaces to precise tolerances Clean, maintain, and organize tools and work areas Follow all safety procedures and ensure structural integrity of completed work Travel to client sites as scheduled and work 12-hour shifts when on travel assignment Qualifications Must live within 50 miles of Liberty, MO Willing to travel up to 15 days per month Ability to work 12-hour days while traveling Must be physically capable of lifting 40+ lbs and working in industrial environments (heat, confined spaces, heights) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required Previous masonry, concrete, or foundation experience is a plus but not required Must pass a background check and drug screening Must have reliable transportation and punctual attendance Benefits Comprehensive Benefits : Health, dental, and vision insurance available.
