Lead Software Engineer Overview

Lead Software Engineer role within Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology (DE&E P&T). You will spearhead the development of the OMS system, guiding its technical direction and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. Translate business requirements into efficient features while championing engineering best practices and agile principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust microservices using Java, Spring Boot, SQL / NoSQL, and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Oversee full software development lifecycle : requirements, design, build, test, and maintain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable solutions that align with business goals.
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and promote coding standards.
• Stay updated on technology trends to ensure continuous innovation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges to ensure system stability.

Compensation

The hiring range for this position in Seattle, Washington is $159,500 to $213,900 per year. Santa Monica, CA is $152,200 to $204,100 per year, San Francisco, CA is $166,800 to $223,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
