About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Massachusetts. This 12-day assignment begins on 12 / 01 / 2025 with a work schedule of 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a variety of cases, including general, plastics, ortho, urology, gyn, endo, and healthy pediatrics (no OB for locums). The role involves working at a hospital setting, utilizing the Epic electronic health record system. This opportunity offers the potential for extension and requires proficiency in various anesthesia techniques.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical cases, including general, plastics, ortho, urology, gyn, endo, and healthy pediatrics
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed during procedures
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using the Epic system
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and safety protocols
  • Demonstrate flexibility in handling various case types and potential schedule changes

Additional Information :

  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
  • Comfortable with sporadic and part-time availability
  • May encounter 0-2 pediatric cases per month (facility averages 8 total peds cases / month)
