Banner Boswell Medical Center (in Sun City, AZ) is seeking Patient Care Assistants to join our Surgical Step-Down Unit. The unit is a Surgical Step-Down, high acuity unit caring for post open heart and thoracic surgery patients. We are a fast-paced team with patients requiring post-operative assistance with walking, blood sugars, vital signs, basic physical care needs of bathing, toileting and other duties as assigned. This is a great opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant who possesses skills and abilities typically attained with experience in an acute care seeking a great learning experience with high acuity patients. Requires Licensure as a CNA / LNA through the State Board of Nursing.

As a Certified Patient Care Assistant you will provide routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation of medical records, and provide a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit / department. You will be a valued member of our team and be a part of a strong team collaboration.

Position includes :

• 1 FULL-TIME NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABLE (FT : 3-12's)
• Shift Hours : Night shift is 7pm-7 : 30am
• You can utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. There are no set days you can be scheduled each week Schedules are done 4 weeks at a time and are typically finalized 2 weeks before the beginning of the schedule period
• Weekend Rotations are required in this role.
• Rotating Holidays Required - 1 major and 1 minor
• Enjoy a flat rate $1 / hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-Night Shift differential when applicable
