Job Summary
Under general supervision, assists in maintaining and operating the Splash Park Facility during the summer season : May October. Performs periodic routine checks and services during the off season and performs shut down and start up procedures to maintain the system by performing the following duties.
Job Description
All candidates conditionally offered transfer, promotion or initial hiring into a DOT / safety-sensitive position shall submit to testing for drugs and alcohol and test negative before performing any job functions that are safety-sensitive or require a CDL. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :
Skill in Splash Park operations; in operating the control programs (Maestro) to each subsystem of the total operations; in filtration screens, elevation pumps, each feature plumbing and operation, ventilation and heating, holding tank filling and draining, and rain diverter switch.
Knowledge of mechanical operation of the splash park system; of the hazards and safety precautions of the work; of departmental policies and procedures; and of general park maintenance.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; to operate trucks and other motorized equipment; to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods; to use hand and mechanical tools and equipment; and to read and understand chemical labels.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; and Project Management software.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and / or Experience :
One year certificate from a college or technical school; plus three to six months related experience.
Language Skills :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License
Must possess or be able to obtain within a year of hire :
Pool and spa certificate
Chemical Applicators License Category III (Lawn & Turf)
Annual confined space training
