Mercy Medical Center, Life Labs Outpatient Labs
Responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy in the Patient Service Centers in the Springfield, MA area. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Must have dependable transportation.
What you will do :
Reviews labels and / or requisitions, obtains required supplies and equipment necessary to carry out tasks
Processes requisitions for completeness, check appropriate signatures obtained, enter patient data, test requested, requesting physician and billing information into computer. Verifies billing and insurance information
Drives personal vehicle to travel to if coverage needed in another Patient Service Center

Requirements :
High school diploma / GED
Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred. Valid driver’s license in good standing required by the Commonwealth of MA.
1 year of experience, preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills; strong phlebotomy skills. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology.
