Job description

Position : Interventional Radiology Technologist (covering both vascular and neuro cases)

Certifications Required : ARRT(R) BLS (ACLS preferred)

Experience : Above average skills in neuroradiology procedures (cerebral coiling kyphoplasty spine work stroke therapy carotid stenting)

Licensure : Must provide current radiation badge (agency provided)

Schedule : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm with call (1-2 shifts per week every 3rd or 4th weekend possible holiday call; 30-minute callback required)

Scrubs : Provided by facility

Travel Requirements : Must live outside 50-mile radius; prior perm and travel staff restrictions apply

Team Submission : Travel teams must be submitted together in one email

Core Duties :

Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data

Maintain sterile technique and prepare entry site for procedures

Assemble supplies and assist physicians in lab environment

Monitor and document patient ECG and blood pressure communicate changes to physician

Maintain patient and unit confidentiality

Participate in on-call rotation available for emergent procedures 24 / 7 as scheduled

Assist in code situations and perform resuscitative measures under supervision

Document procedures accurately and ensure correct billing

Use and manage inventory control systems

Participate in educational and in-service programs

Instruct radiography students in clinical settings

Maintain specialization in neuroradiology and vascular IR

Prepare and check patients prior to procedures

Participate in departmental performance improvement and inventory management activities
