Jobsite Superintendent

Essel has partnered with a leading multi-family residential development company and its affiliated general construction company seeking a Jobsite Superintendent to manage multi-family residential construction projects. Responsibilities include reporting to the Senior Project Manager, ensuring the quality, safety, and schedule of the construction site, and adhering to all construction documents. The role involves scheduling sub-contractors, inspectors, jobsite setup, and material deliveries. The Jobsite Superintendent will lead and document weekly foreman meetings and tailgate safety meetings, inspect and approve the work of subcontractors, initiate and make recommendations regarding change orders, create daily jobsite reports and lookahead schedules, and ensure jobsite cleanliness, safety, and all jobsite conditions. Additionally, the role requires tracking and implementing field changes, RFI's, and submittals, working with subcontractors to secure all project closeout documents, creating and tracking subcontractor punch-lists, securing Certificate of Occupancy, and performing owner walk-throughs, turnover, and warranty / customer service operations.

Skills required include being a driven, self-starter, with proven ability to deliver construction projects without defects, safely, and on time. The candidate must be organized, decisive, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills, well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills are also required.

Qualifications include TEN years (MINIMUM) experience in site supervision, FIVE years (MINIMUM) experience in multifamily residential construction, experience with local Los Angeles subcontractors and inspectors preferred, structural concrete, podium experience required, technical understanding of construction means and methods, and skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications. Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel skills are also required.
