Overview
Position details include full-time employment with essential responsibilities to recruit and engage foster / adoptive families, coordinate statewide resources, and collaborate with CPA and other DCCCA programs. Responsibilities
- Coordinate statewide foster parent recruitment and retention efforts
- Provide monthly updates to the recruitment plan and monthly activity reports
- Recruit foster and adoptive families through speaking engagements, community events, and partnerships
- Collaborate with CPA staff to conduct recruitment activities and maintain relationships with community partners
- Participate in team and internal meetings, including CPA all-staff and recruitment meetings
- Attend DCF Diligent Recruitment meetings and align target areas for recruitment to support teens with significant behavior / needs
- Aim to recruit one new family per month serving high-need youth (12 families per year)
- Develop resources for recruitment activities
- Link and coordinate foster families and staff with needed community resources, events, and statewide services
- Foster positive staff and foster family relationships to reduce barriers
- Provide individual assistance to staff and foster families to access community resources
- Assess, document, and monitor utilization of resources, events, and services
- Serve as a liaison between staff and resources to promote collaboration
- Communicate and update resources statewide in partnership with the communications team via website, Facebook, and other technologies
- Update and track information in DonorPerfect software
- Coordinate with other DCCCA programs for efficiencies and effectiveness
- Coordinate with CPA to host DCCCA events (e.g., Foster Parent Appreciation, support groups)
- Travel and work hours to include evenings and weekends
- Maintain regular contact with supervisor
- Ensure safety by performing required security and safety procedures
- Assist in orientation to program rules and confidentiality; maintain strict confidentiality
- Regularly drive to DCCCA locations and other state locations as needed

Requires a high school diploma or GEDRequires at least two years of experience in child welfare and / or family services; marketing experience preferredRequires understanding of foster parentingMust possess a valid state Driver's License, automobile liability insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record; reliable transportation requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with database and spreadsheet softwareAbility to communicate effectively (oral and written), and demonstrate active listeningRegular, predictable on-site attendanceAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to DCCCA valuesAbility to work in a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholdersPhysical Requirements
The job may require standing, walking, sitting, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and working at a computer for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Travel
This position requires travel, which may include driving personal or company-owned vehicles. Some motor vehicle infractions may affect eligibility to drive for company business. The role is safety-sensitive.
