Cayuga Health is a well-established and highly respected orthopedic practice in the Finger Lakes region. Our team is comprised of 7 orthopedic surgeons and 12 orthopedic physician assistants. Our hospital is not a trauma center but a robust community hospital. We offer a full spectrum of orthopedic services, including sports medicine, joint replacement, upper extremity, foot and ankle, and general orthopedics.

Qualifications :
Completion of U.S. accredited medical programBoard-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic SurgeryFellowship is preferred.Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamworkExcellent surgical skills and clinical judgmentKey responsibilities :
Patient CareConduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patientsPrescribe medication and other appropriate therapiesOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and imagingPerform medical procedures and surgeries when necessaryMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as neededProvide patient educationCommunicationEffectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues
DocumentationMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in a timely fashion
Clinical ExpertiseStay current with latest medical research, treatments and technologies

Doctorate MD or DO from an accredited medical school requiredMust have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration;Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health systemDR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state requiredStrong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence based medicineExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompassion, empathy and a commitment to patient-centered careAbility to work collaboratively in a healthcare teamCommitment to ongoing professional development and CME.Working conditions :
