About The Position

Position Description

We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Erie, PA . This role supports high-acuity cases in an open ICU setting at a well-established Medicine Institute. Providers will work independently during night shifts, with ER resident support available seasonally.

Shift Options :

  • Day Shifts (6A–6P) : 10 / 18, 10 / 19, 11 / 8, 11 / 9, 11 / 16, 11 / 22
  • Night Shifts (6P–6A) : 11 / 7 & 11 / 8 ( with option to extend through 11 / 11 )
  • Ongoing night / weekend needs

Setting :

  • High-acuity patient population
  • Procedures : Arterial lines, central lines, consults, code response
  • No intubations required at night
  • EMR : EPIC

    Job Requirements

    Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner ( Acute Care Certified ) or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • Active DEA , ACLS , BLS
  • Pennsylvania license preferred (compact license accepted)
  • Must meet PA Child Abuse Clearance requirements (including fingerprinting)
  • Minimum availability : 5–7 shifts / month
  • Privileging process : 60–90 days
