Job Duties
Knowledge of personal care needs and activities of daily living; ability to carry out the responsibilities of the position; ability to read, write and communicate effectively with others; and possess the physical ability to turn, bend and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions. Must be able to work required overtime and perform CPR.
Minimum Qualifications
Certified as a nursing assistant with the Virginia State Board of Nursing. High School graduate or equivalent coupled with the successful completion of a State approved training course or a State approved training course for nursing assistants.
Additional Considerations
Working experience as a nursing assistant within the field of medical-surgical, psychiatric, rehabilitation, geriatrics or mental retardation preferred.
