Position Overview

Analog Devices’ Advanced Physical Technology (APT) group is seeking a highly skilled Embedded System Design Engineer to drive the development of next-generation systems for strategic, high-impact products. This role focuses on designing, verifying, and productizing embedded systems for cutting-edge applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in embedded MCU design, a passion for rapid prototyping, and the ability to collaborate across APT and Business Units to accelerate innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and technical specifications, including communication interfaces and documentation.
• Lead the design and integration of hardware and firmware to meet performance, reliability, and SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, and Cost) optimization goals.
• Integrate advanced algorithms into embedded firmware on ARM Cortex MCUs and validate system-level performance.
• Utilize debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, GDB) to diagnose and optimize embedded systems.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, simulation, and validation in real-world environments.
• Develop and implement automated testing frameworks to ensure module reliability and performance.
• Architect and implement algorithms to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, supporting system integration and embedded development across teams.

Required Qualifications

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and / or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
