Divisional Merchandise Manager
Reporting to the Chief Merchandising Officer, the Divisional Merchandise Manager (DMM) for Apparel & Accessories plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our streetwear retail business. This position is responsible for overseeing and leading the strategic planning, product selection, and merchandising initiatives within the Apparel & Accessories division, with a focus on maximizing sales and profitability.
Responsibilities :
Merchandise Strategy and Execution (40%)
- Develop and execute a comprehensive merchandise strategy for the Apparel & Accessories division, aligning with the company's overall business goals and brand identity
- Cultivate complete brand awareness, staying ahead of fashion trends, and understanding customer preferences
- Utilize data and customer research to develop consumer insights and predict future customer desires
- Identify and curate product selections that align with street culture and customer inspiration
- Incorporate market / vendor information into the development of the strategic vision and product selection
- Ensure close-to-market responsiveness by integrating consumer preferences into seasonal go-to-market processes
- Identify key categories / items / departments to focus on driving newness and delivering sales profit
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Relationship Management (30%)
Collaborate effectively with the merchant team, vendor community, field, planning and allocation, and finance to drive sales growth and profitabilityReview business in-season to maximize sales and profit, working closely with Planning and field teamsBuild and maintain external and internal relationshipsPartner with planning, allocation, and finance on sales forecasting / planning, promotional cadence, flow order, and other key areasContinuously engage with vendors on future strategies and current business issuesTeam Development and Training (30%)
