About the Job :

• The RN Clinical Coordinator - assists and supports the Nurse Manager in the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of delivery of nursing care services within the Emergency unit to ensure quality nursing.
• Provides clinical leadership for patient care activities; prepares and facilitates staff schedule; directs professional and non-professional nursing personnel; participates in team member development and evaluation; implements and leads process improvement activities with the unit; represents Nurse Manager as appropriate; provides direct patient care and attends meetings, as required.
• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within a hospital. Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow.
• Ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. May perform other administrative functions as necessary.
