Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to hospital based team.
• Professionally represent SMA to the physician community.
• Maintain strong rapport with hospitals, primary care physicians, specialists and ancillary providers in order to affect quality care.
• Maintain a personal daily caseload consistent with departmental expectations and deliver or coordinate all aspects of necessary care.
• Assess daily caseloads of SMA Hospitalists and help assign cases to achieve equal distribution of workload as indicated.
• Work with administrative assistant of monthly schedules.
• Mentor new hospitalists.
• Actively participate in departmental committees and meetings and lead hospitalist conferences with chief.
• Perform frequent chart reviews and assessment of hospitalists to review quality and clinical aptitude while identifying individual improvement plans.

Required Qualifications

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $260,000 - $387,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
