About The Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified (or Eligible) Psychiatrist for a locum inpatient assignment at a leading behavioral health facility in Davenport, Iowa . This is a rewarding opportunity to work with both adult and adolescent patients in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

📍 Location : Davenport, IA

📅 Schedule : Monday–Friday or 7 days / week options available

🕘 Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (Day Shifts Only)

📞 On-Call : Every 3rd day, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (Daytime call only)

📌 Duration : Ongoing locum coverage needed

🏥 Facility Details :

Inpatient behavioral health coverage at MercyOne Genesis West

Consult coverage at Genesis East during call

NOT a telehealth role – onsite only

Teaching opportunities available with Family Medicine residents, nursing and OT students

👥 Team Composition :

3 Psychiatrists , 10 APPs

Supervise 2 APPs including co-signing and chart reviews

Clinic volume : Up to 36 inpatients shared among 3 physicians (28 adults, 8 adolescents)

EMR : Cerner

🧠 Responsibilities :

Rounding on 28-bed adult and 8-bed adolescent inpatient units (ages 8–17)

Medication management, individual & group therapy oversight, discharge planning

Conduct consults at Genesis East when on call

Supervision of APPs, including review of documentation and orders

Job Requirements

Board Certified / Eligible in Psychiatry – Required

IA License or active IMLC – Required

Fellowship Trained in Psychiatry – Required

Inpatient experience – Highly preferred
