Parks & Recreation Building Maintenance Supervisor
Join the City of Saint Paul's Parks and Recreation Department as a Building Maintenance Supervisor, leading the maintenance and improvement of city facilities, recreation centers, and mechanical systems. This role blends hands-on technical work with strategic leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and welcoming public spaces for all. Heres what you can expect to do :
Direct and coordinate the work of maintenance crews, operating engineers, and contractors in the repair and upkeep of buildings, pools, fountains, HVAC systems, lighting, and technology systems.
Review construction and remodeling plans, estimate costs, and manage contracts for both in-house and vendor-performed work to ensure quality and compliance with city and safety standards.
Implement and maintain scheduled maintenance systems to extend the life of city assets, reduce downtime, and improve operational efficiency across facilities.
Uphold OSHA regulations and city safety protocols, provide staff training, and ensure the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Understanding of budgets and how the budget and resources relate to the maintenance of Parks and Recreation buildings.
