Our client is seeking a Workers Compensation Compliance Consultant for a 1-year remote contract supporting insurance clients across multiple states. This role requires 7+ years of experience in Workers Compensation self-insurance compliance, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to navigate state reporting portals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing strict state deadlines while guiding clients through compliance processes.

Job Description
The Workers Compensation Compliance Consultant will play a key role in helping clients maintain their Qualified Self-Insurance status and meet state-level compliance requirements. The consultant will work across multiple states, ensuring all reporting obligations are met accurately and on time while supporting clients with documentation, actuarial reporting, and compliance with surety bond and security requirements. Detail oriented person will assist clients to complete various state reporting requirements to maintain W orkers Compensation Qualified Self-Insurance status and / or compliance with monopolistic fund requirements. The ideal candidate will have related prior experience in multiple states
Responsibilities
Maintain and closely adhere to schedule of reporting requirements for each client by entity and by state.
Request and obtain payroll, hours, loss information. financial statements and other documents from the client, TPA or other as required in each state.
Follow up with client or others on tight diary for receipt of information in order to stay in compliance with strict state deadlines.
Actively review status of all activity and input information into the various state web portals.
Guide clients on certifying and / or signing off on information on the web portals
Maintain detailed records of all activity including requests for documents, data, actuarial reports, proof of payments, etc
Review surety bonds or other security requirements and levels with each state. Request review of security as necessary. Provide actuarial reports and other information requested by the state to support security.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of state reporting requirements and compliance processes.
