Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you'll care for diverse and complex patient populations, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), our unit uses the latest neurosurgical techniques to provide cutting-edge care.

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient conditions.Implement patient safety strategies and individualized education plans.Coordinate discharge planning with an interdisciplinary approach.Participate in quality improvement initiatives.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license for the state of practice.BLS certification from the American Heart Association.Education Required :
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Ability to provide holistic patient care with a focus on family-centered practices.Proficient in electronic medical records and communication skills.Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time management skills.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
