Job description

Position Summary

The Visual Merchandiser will develop and execute visual presentation strategies by analyzing market, store, and item-level KPI data. This role includes designing planograms using JDA Space Planning software, drafting detailed merchandising communications, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely implementation. The Visual Merchandiser will also leverage broad category knowledge to optimize product presentation and support sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate planogram schedules from category review to in-store implementation, ensuring timelines and tasks are completed accurately.
Analyze planogram and product performance to make informed decisions on product presentation, inventory allocation, and store payroll allocation.
Design product presentations, fixture configurations, and in-store marketing materials that align with AutoZone's Visual Presentation Standards.
Draft 300 to 600 planograms annually using JDA Space Planning software.
Create detailed store communications with step-by-step procedures for implementing planograms and merchandising initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of visual merchandising strategies.

Requirements

Two to three years of experience in merchandising, retail (in a planogram environment), space management, or visual presentation.

Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills (both verbal and written).

Proficiency in Space Planning software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Basic understanding of graphic programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Quark.

Preferred Requirements

Analytical experience and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
