Job Description

Who we are :

Shineforth is a nonprofit organization that provides a comprehensive array of programs to support children, teens, and parents as they work to overcome challenges. We equip families with tools for success so they can achieve their goals. As a national leader in helping young people and families, we also proactively identify unmet social services needs and develop the necessary partnerships to address those needs.

What we do :

Our regional centers offer individualized treatment for children and teens who are being placed out of home and have special emotional, behavioral, or medical needs. Our youth and families are supported by a collaborative team of specially trained clinical staff and foster parents, who provide daily behavioral health interventions that align with each child’s individualized treatment plan.

What we are looking for :

A Social Worker to provide case support services for foster or adoptive children (clients), resource / adoptive parents and referral agencies. Provides a full range of services including intake, assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, referral, report writing, family reunification, discharge planning and maintaining case files. Contributes to the recruitment, certification, recertification, training and on-going support of resource parents.

What you will need :

Master’s degree in social work with a minimum of two years direct service experience or a Bachelor’s degree in social work and three years direct service experience. Demonstrated ability to apply sound casework and counseling skills, understand treatment modalities and their implications for services to families and youth.
