Position Summary
The Therapist is an advanced professional position that provides direct therapeutic services to identified mental health and substance abuse patients within the Behavioral Health Network (B-NET) program. The therapist will be responsible for maintaining patient care in accordance with program guidelines and external standards (Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.). Therapists provide Individual and family therapy, behavioral management, therapeutic behavioral onsite support services, medication management, and alternative services
Applicants must have one of the following Florida Board Licenses (Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Registered Intern) plus a Master's Degree in Human Services or other related field of study to be qualified
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop service plans, treatment plans, and discharge plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions with adults, children, and families in an outpatient, acute care inpatient, or community setting.
- Accurate and timely documentation of clinical and administrative services in accordance with program guidelines and external standards (Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.).
- Meets productivity requirements for the designated program through efficient workflow management.
- Maintains cooperative relationships with other internal departments and external agencies and keeps the supervisor informed at all times of all relevant client, program, and community issues
- Understands the basic tenets of Co-Occurring disorders and the relationship between mental health and substance abuse.
- The therapist will also demonstrate knowledge of the age-specific needs of the clients treated in the program.
- The therapist will be responsible for maintaining patient care in accordance with program guidelines and external standards (Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.) to various populations, inclusive of individuals, families, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Human Services or similar disciplines such as Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, etc.Must have one of the following valid and active licenses in Mental Health Counseling, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of FloridaComputer proficient in EMR and MS Office programsBilingual (Spanish / English) a plus but not requiredPrevious experience in mental health is a plus!Must be at least 21 or older, have a valid driver's license, and have reliable personal transportation.
