Overview :

Under direct supervision of the radiology supervisor, the  Radiolog y  Technologist will  perform routine radiographic procedures, utilizing all standards for quality and radiation protection.

The Radiology Technologist provides  direction for clinical student radiographers and  possess a knowledge of anatomy, equipment protocols, radiation safety and protection.

Provides personalized care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient.

The X- Ray technologist  will provide the patient care essential to the exams.

The Radiolog y  Technologist uses  their  expertise in  Radiology  technology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases and expand their knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the Radiolog y  Technologist and   X-Ray technologist  field s.

Qualifications :

  • Experienc e :  New Radiology graduates welcome
  • Required Education :   High school graduate or successful graduation from a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Licensure :   Current Arkansas State Department of Health Radiologic Technology License
  • Certifications :   Current BLS certification. ARRT certification. New grads will have 6 months from start date to receive ARRT and State license.
  • Other :   Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.   Working conditions, mental and physical requirements :   This individual must be capable of :   manipulating X-Ray equipment including mobile and other equipment; carrying cassettes; selecting and manipulating exposure factors, evaluating radiographs; lifting, moving and transporting patients’ continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to fast pace daily work load; communicating effectively.
