The Gainesville, FL Veterans
Affairs Medical Center is recruiting an Endocrinologist.
You will provide patient care along with supervision of
Endocrinology fellows in the outpatient clinic and on the inpatient
consult rotation. Performance of ultrasound-guided fine needle
aspirate (FNA) thyroid biopsies as needed.
Treat Veteran
patients with endocrine diseases, such as, thyroid abnormalities,
diabetes, hypertension, infertility, cholesterol disorders, and
endocrine neoplasia. Analyze, examine, and investigate patients and
their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal
imbalances. Explain treatment options, and give advice on
medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative
measures.
Conduct research and studies on the
endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions to
develop new treatment techniques.
Assistance with payment of
medical school loans is available (up to $200K).
Sign on
bonus available.
