Facility :

This established medical center features a 350-bed tertiary care hospital with Level I Trauma Center certification and a connected 140-bed multispecialty hospital. The facility boasts the highest-ranked cardiovascular program and a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, providing comprehensive care through a wide-reaching healthcare system.

Board Certified / Board Eligible - Hospitalist

Job Details :

• Join a well-established 25-year-old Hospitalist program with 58 physicians and 17 NP / PAs
• Work in a friendly, collegial environment with day teams of hospitalists and advanced practice providers
• Enjoy a 7-day on, 7-day off schedule throughout the year; 175 shifts considered full-time with flexible scheduling
• Experience a satisfying balance of attending and consultative responsibilities across multiple specialties
• Manage typically 16 patients per day for physician-only rounding teams, or 24-26 for physician and APP rounding teams
• Practice in an open ICU setting (no ventilator management required in Duluth location)
• Procedures not required
• Participate in hospital-based research, quality, and clinical initiatives
• Engage with the inpatient teaching service for Duluth Family Medicine residents
• Option to also work at Virginia location (30-bed hospital with Level IV Trauma Center, 60 miles from Duluth)
• Must be BC / BE in Internal Medicine or BC / BE in Family Medicine with strong interest in hospital-based care
• Epic Electronic Medical Record utilized throughout the entire healthcare system

Compensation :

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
