Pharmacy Tech II FT Rotating Position Summary

The individual in this position will assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medications, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Position duties include the following activities :

SPECIAL SKILLS :  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure. Must have basic computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must be willing to work in all areas of the pharmacy services as assigned. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure.

SUPERVISES : May Supervise Pharmaceutical Technicians in the absence of a director.

THE PHARMACY TECH II FT ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM EDUCATION :   High School Diploma or equivalent GED

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :   Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. IV experience preferred. Good organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE :   Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician certification
