Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with STEMI on-call experience and a NJ or compact RN license for a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Four 9.5-hour day shifts per week, 7AM–5PM
  • STEMI on-call responsibilities required
  • Care for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • May float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Provide assessment, direct patient care, and documentation for cardiac procedures
  • Manage emergency equipment and follow National Patient Safety Goals
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative assessments and patient education
  • Contribute to perioperative care, prioritizing patient needs throughout care continuum
  • Maintain professionalism and positive communication with patients, families, and team members
  • Abide by confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
  • Required to adhere to the unit-specific dress code and safety protocols
  • Assignments may last up to one year, with a mandatory break of 30-60 days before returning

    • Requirements

  • Active NJ or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience using Epic EMR preferred
  • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals)
