Pharmacy Technician – Hybrid (Contract to Hire) Location : Louisville, KY. Hybrid – Work From Home with 2–3 Onsite Days per Week (Rotating Schedule) Pay Rate : $19.00 / hour Schedule : Monday – Friday, 11 : 30 AM – 8 : 00 PM EST Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) to join our team in a hybrid role. The Pharmacy Technician will support daily operations including data entry, prescription clarification, and communication with physicians and patients. This position plays an essential part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of prescriptions, which are dispensed and shipped by our pharmacy warehouse staff to patients or provider offices. Key Responsibilities Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy dispensing system for pharmacist review. Maintain strong knowledge of pharmacy policies, procedures, and government regulations to ensure compliance. Calculate correct doses based on prescription details and prescribing guidelines. Document prescription clarifications provided by pharmacists in the computer system. Assist patients and providers via phone, triaging calls to the appropriate team as needed. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to all program-specific guidelines and operational standards. Required Qualifications PTCB Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board). Active registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy – proof of registration required prior to hire. Demonstrated success in a team-oriented work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and follow detailed instructions. Strong multitasking skills and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in pharmacy data entry. Ability to apply basic algebraic concepts in dosage calculations. Experience in a customer-facing or patient-support role, especially over the phone.
