Application Specialist

Job Opportunity

Responsible for selling Hosokawa equipment for size reduction, classification, mixing, drying, compaction, and agglomeration. Reviews customer applications, recommends equipment and process design, prepares quotations, and coordinates test trials.

Essential Duties :

• 40% - Qualify and pursue sales leads through email, phone, video, and in-person communication with prospective customers and regional sales managers.
• 35% - Prepare quotations and bid documents; source sub-supplier bids and develop equipment costing.
• 15% - Coordinate and participate in product testing with customers, including at global Hosokawa sites.
• 5% - Maintain sales reports and manage CRM system.
• 5% - Attend industry exhibitions; engage directly with current and prospective clients.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum 1 year of experience working with or selling industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Degree in Science or Engineering.

2+ years of experience with industrial equipment sales or applications.

Knowledge of powder processing systems (size reduction, classification, mixing, drying).

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements :

Domestic and international travel is up to 25%.

Must be comfortable performing physical activities related to the position.

Salary Range : $62,125 - $105,582. Salaries / rates will vary and may be above or below this rate commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
