We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following opportunity in our Chicago, Illinois office.

Senior Underwriter - Corporate Insurance, Financial Lines

As a key member of the underwriting team, the Financial Lines Underwriter will evaluate price and manage portfolios of management liability and excess liability exposures. The role combines technical underwriting expertise, broker-facing relationship management, and proactive portfolio stewardship to deliver profitable growth and superior service.

• Exceptional broker and client facing skills with a demonstrated ability to build long term partnerships and deliver outstanding service
• Proven ability to analyze complex issues and drive quick, accurate problem resolution
• Detailed oriented and quality - driven approach to policy wording, documentation and endorsement management
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
• Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication for negotiation, risk presentations, and internal reporting
• Self-starter with strong organizations skills; effective working both autonomously and in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
• Confident decision-maker who exercises sound judgment within underwriting authority limits
• Experience managing a portfolio and meeting defined performance metrics
• Proven success sourcing and converting new business opportunities within the broker community
• Advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook

The salary range is expected to be $115,000 to $165,000 plus bonus within the terms of the company plan. Trisura offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) with company match and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
