Job Description

We support Government and prime system integrators with engineering and management expertise. We are looking for a Senior Management Analyst II to support our team at the Department of Energy.

As a Senior Management Analyst II, you will provide subject matter expert in the areas of Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Controls to prepare and complete internal control evaluations in order for FE to meet the annual requirements of the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA). This is a senior management position requiring a highly qualified candidate to establish the control environment at the Entity level, monitor the application of Internal controls and project management for FE.

Subject matter expert in conducting the risk assessment and preparing, in accordance with OMB guidance, the risk profile for the Office; testing the design and operating effectiveness of the internal controls for all major business processes; drafting the annual FFMIA attestation of the Assistant Secretary of Fossil Energy; preparing the annual Entity Profile, Financial Management and Financial Systems Assessments, and suggesting improvements to major business processes within FE.

This is a managerial position level support of work assignments such as reviewing, monitoring, and inspecting the work of other contract personnel, or the supervision of contract personnel. The Senior Management Analyst also works on very complex and / or sensitive issues related to the Performance Work Statement.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience that is relevant and directly related to managing and expertise level is required. Knowledge of Federal, DOE, and the Office of Fossil Energy is required.
• A BS or BA degree (or an additional six (6) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree) in a discipline that relates to the Performance Work Statement. An M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting is strongly preferred.
• A C.P.A. is required. Other certifications such as a G.F.M. (Certified Government Financial Manager) or C.G.M.A. (Chartered Global Management Accountant) is strongly preferred.
• In addition, other relevant professional development courses and training related to the Government, Management & subject matter is desirable.
