DAY TO DAY AS AN EMPLOYEE HEALTH NURSE / STAFFING COORDINATOR

As a Full-Time LPN Employee Health Nurse / Staffing Coordinator at Minden Medical Center, you will be responsible for the critical task of planning, organizing, and scheduling nursing departments to meet labor requirement needs effectively. Your role will involve maintaining an ongoing availability of pool and agency personnel to quickly fill staffing gaps, ensuring that our commitment to quality patient care is consistently upheld. You will observe established labor standards and staffing matrices while expertly inputting and monitoring staff schedules in our payroll system, ensuring accurate time transfers to the correct departments and pay codes.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, especially OSHA standards, will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining employee health records, including TB, flu, COVID, titers, and more, will directly impact the well-being of our staff. ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS LPN STAFFING COORDINATOR JOB?

To excel as a Full-Time LPN Employee Health Nurse / Staffing Coordinator at Minden Medical Center, you will need a blend of essential skills and qualifications. A minimum of one year of LPN experience is preferred, showcasing your solid understanding of nursing practices. An unencumbered LPN license with the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners (LSBPNE) is required to ensure compliance and uphold our standards of care. BLS certification is essential to maintain safety in patient care settings.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are crucial, allowing you to effectively plan and coordinate staffing needs across departments. Proficiency in using payroll and scheduling software will enable you to monitor staff schedules accurately, while excellent communication and teamwork skills will help you collaborate effectively with managers and supervisors. Your attention to detail will be key in maintaining accurate labor standards and ensuring that every shift is adequately staffed to support our patient-centric mission.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• 1 year LPN experience preferred
• Microsoft knowledge, including Word / Exel strongly preferred
• Louisiana LPN license
• AHA BLS certified
