RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM

Full-time position

Care for ED, trauma, medical, critical care, and pediatric patients

May be floated to other ED departments within the health system as needed

Preferred experience includes moderate sedation competency, EPIC experience, and triage

Required certifications : Current BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), and TNCC certification

Texas RN license or compact state license required

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred

Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire

Precepted by designated trained staff member during initial on-boarding

Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation

Practice independently while providing routine and complex nursing care

Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation

Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness

Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided

Provide patient and family education and identify learning needs and resources
