Senior Data Engineer - Position Summary :
As a Senior Data Engineer at Delta Defense, you have the unique opportunity to take on a leadership role that directly supports our mission of saving more lives through relevant analytics. As a vital member of our cross-functional team, you provide hands-on technical leadership in creating cutting-edge data and process strategies.
In this key role, you'll advance the development of our Enterprise Data Warehouse, delivering a business-focused technology solution that enables comprehensive reporting of key performance indicators, metrics, and insights. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior team members, and champion innovation in data engineering practices.

Senior Data Engineer - Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Architect and develop data pipelines to optimize data quality, performance, and scalability.
Design and build systems and infrastructures to collect and process data, ensuring creation of clean, tested, and reusable datasets ready for analysis.
Establish standards for data transformations, ensuring adherence to rules and requirements for data formats and attributes.
Establish standards for data quality, including data profiling methodologies, to maintain and enhance data integrity.
Implement engineering best practices around CI / CD, unit testing, performance testing, and optimization.
Partner directly with the Data Architecture team to ensure quality and consistency of the data model.
Leverage existing data infrastructure to fulfill data-related requests, perform data housekeeping, cleansing, normalization, hashing, and implement necessary data model changes.
Analyze data to identify anomalies, trends, and correlations between datasets. Troubleshoot problems, identify solutions, and resolve issues accordingly.
Apply best practices related to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and adhere to Risk policies and standards set by the organization.
Serve as a leader for junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship in their development.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support the organization's goals and operational efficiency.

Target salary range $112,000 - $135,000 based on experience. This role is also bonus-eligible for company incentive plan.
